LAVA International Limited, one of the top mobile phones producing company in India, announced Android 4.4.2 KitKat update over FOTA (Firmware- over-the-Air) for LAVA Iris 504Q+. The LAVA Iris 504Q+ has a 5″ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and Mali 400 MP2 clocked at 500MHz Graphics Unit. It has 1 GB RAM and internal memory of 8GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via micro-SD card. With 10 MP rear auto-focus camera it clicks decent pictures and also has a 2MP secondary camera.
With the new Android update improvement is expected in the performance of the phone and user experience. A new dialer app has also been introduced in the update which lets users to automatically prioritize contacts according to the most frequently dialed numbers in the phone book.
The users will get a notification about the update or they can manually check the system updates in settings. The update is available OTA so there is no need to connect to the system though the memory card should be inserted in the phone as the update will be downloaded in the card. But after installation the software can run with or without the card.
Iris 540Q+ is available in grey and silver colors and costs Rs. 11,900.
