Few days ago we OnePlus revealed its efforts to merge HydrogenOS and OxygenOS into a single, unified build of Android. That being said, the Chinese company continues to release community builds, which are beta updates of its OS based on users feedback. OnePlus is pushing out another OxygenOS community build to its OnePlus 3 and OnePlus X smartphones today. Neither one includes a jump to Nougat, but there are some new features.

Added “kill all background processes” button in recents menu
Added long press options in messages application
Enhanced incoming call notification UI
Added manual “check for update” button
Added additional directions for first fingerprint configuration
Battery Saver mode optimizations and enhancements
Added back contacts widget in launcher
Improved dialer speed
New modes added in control panel (night mode and battery saver)
The second community build update is aimed at the OnePlus X and OxygenOS 3.1.1 community build now available for download. This update is a tad smaller at 761MB in size.

Improved touch responsiveness, speed, and accuracy
Users running previous community builds will receive the updates through an OTA update. For users on Stock Oxygen OS, they need to flash the update using ADB sideload after backing up the data.
