When you think of Google, the first and only thing that comes to mind is “Search”, isn’t it? No doubt it is arguably the best search engine available. So what happens when you combine a powerful search engine with a twist of understanding relationships? You get the all new “Search Plus Your World”.

The news has come out that what started with an experiment as “Social Search” is now a full fledged integration with the normal Google search. It finds both content that’s been shared with you privately along with matches from the public web, all mixed into a single set of listings.

They have taken this big step introducing three new features:

  • Personal Results, which enable you to find information just for you, such as Google+ photos and posts—both your own and those shared specifically with you, that only you will be able to see on your results page;
  • Profiles in Search, both in autocomplete and results, which enable you to immediately find people you’re close to or might be interested in following;
  • People and Pages, which help you find people profiles and Google+ pages related to a specific topic or area of interest and enable you to follow them with just a few clicks. Because behind most every query is a community

The change is pretty much live now, but won’t be visible to many until it’s fully launched over the next few days. Also, it’s only for those signed-in to Google.com and searching in English.
