SoundCloud is the world’s leading social sound platform on iOS and Android where anyone can create sounds and share them everywhere. They have announced that the popular app has hit 10 million users which is quite a milestone.
They had about 3 million in January 2011 and announced five million users by June, eventually hitting seven million by September. It’s now on track to put on a million new members in January. The app has been very successful with over five million official SoundCloud iphone/android apps downloaded and over 10,000 third party apps have been developed on SoundCloud’s open platform.
On reaching this milestone, SoundCloud introduced a new feature called Story Wheel, which allows users to record their own narrative and add slides of images to tell a personal story, which is old school yet quite a cool feature.
