It seems LG thinks even dual-SIM phones are not being adequate for phone maniacs and there’s need of three SIM’s in a phone. Nokia has been pretty successful with its dual-SIM feature phones and now it seems LG too wants a piece from the emerging markets. The LG A290 is said to feature triple-SIM capabilities.

We have seen many triple-SIM phones from Chinese phone makers and even here in India, i see many a triple-SIM, even quad-SIM phones by different local manufacturers but this is the first attempt by a top manufacturer.

The phone is said to feature a 2.2-inch display @ 176×220 pixels, a 1.3-megapixel camera with flashlight, and a 1500 mAh battery. It all comes in at the fairly compact size of 113.5 x 51 x 12.95mm. We have no details if all the three cards can be active at once.

The A290 will arrive in Russia late February for about €75.
