Micromax was running a contest over a span of last two months for its logo re-designing and has finally revealed its new logo at the Micromax Asia Cup 2012, in the match between India and Pakistan yesterday. The contest was conducted in partnership with Talent House India , inviting all participants to submit their entries with their redesigned logo.
The contest winner was to receive an Apple Mac Book Pro along with credits on the Micromax Corporate Website . The contest featured students from over 150 colleges and registered a total of 2500 entries along with 1500 participants from across the globe. The final winner chosen was Erik Atkins of USA . Along with the logo , they also got a new tag line as “Nothing Like Anything” .This is what Pratik Seal, Head- Marketing , Micromax had to say about the new revamp :
It was tough to choose one amongst 2500 entries but we all decided that the Punch logo is a true reflection of the Micromax brand which is Young, Innovative, Dynamic, Bold, Extrovert and Fun.
The entire rebranding will be completed by the end of this month, according to the company and it is already visible in the Company’s Website , showing the new logo in a flash box as it’s launch.
