Fileserve now only allows the owner of the files to download his or her uploaded files, other users cannot download the said file. Other sites have gotten more strict in a similar way, working harder to remove links that infringe on the copyright law.

Now, the court has produced a verdict, they have explicitly recognized that RapidShare’s business model is legal. It’s not all good for RapidShare though, as the company now has to monitor external websites for incoming links to infringing files.
