canvashdYes its here, the much anticipated upgrade to the canvas series which was known for the balance between performance(which was not much more than figures on paper) and an attractive price point. The Canvas 2 had a dual core Mediatek processor which made hardware junkies crazy for this device.

Today the company launched the Canvas HD and as the name suggests it features an HD IPS LCD display having a resolution of 1280*720 which is very decent for a phone of this size. The Micromax A116 Canvas HD is powered by a Mediatek MT6589 chipset that has a quad core 1.2 GHz processor and PowerVR SGX5 GPU, the device is laden with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of storage.

However its about time we see the device in hands of you’ll out there so that we know how good is the device really as a daily driver. Stay tuned for more updates and performance related reviews.
