Samsung just confirmed that they shall launch their new Galaxy device the Galaxy Grand which happens to be a fresh phablet at a press conference at Mumbai tomorrow,January 22nd 2013.
Whats more is that the company has announced a contest and the winner of which shall get the device as a prize. Winners shall be announced the very same day via a webcast of the event.
The specs that the Galaxy Grand packs in a 5 inch form factor is a non HD (800 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It boasts an 8 Megapixel camera on the rear and a 2 Megapixel front shooter along with 8GB of internal memory and microSD expansion capabilities. The connectivity features include 3G (HSDPA: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.0, GPS/GLONASS and NFC. It has a 2100 mAh battery.
