The next Samsung Galaxy flagship is easily the most anticipated Android smartphone this year and all those numerous renders, mockups and rumors prove that. Now we have got hands on a picture courtesy Korean website Daum which looks like the press invitation for the Galaxy S III launch.
The picture shows a press invitation saying, “Samsung Galaxy S III, New Generation Coming, May 22nd, London, United Kingdom.” Reports suggest that Samsung decided to choose UK for its much awaited launch because the Olympics is going to held there this year.
The latest flagship is described as being, “Fast. Vivid. Slim”. On the image the handset too makes a noteworthy appearance and interestingly it is nothing at all those mockups we have come across. Instead the handset design seems to have some curves on the front and even on the side.
We have heard of rumors saying quite persistently that the Galaxy S III is to have a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display, the first RGB (non-pentile) HD AMOLED but now the rumors say it will have a 4.8″ display of the Super AMOLED Plus HD kind.
The Korean publication Daum also suggests there will be two S III models – one with LTE connectivity (the Samsung Galaxy S III LTE for markets like the US, obviously) and a “3G” version for the rest of the world where LTE is not yet present (possibly, Galaxy S III 3G). Now, it also cautions us that the LTE version might take longer to make it to shelves, and could arrive sometime in July.
The Galaxy S III is also said to feature a Quad-Core SoC possibly the32nm Samsung Exynos 4412.
What do you think, does this look credible?
