Microsoft released a beta software of its native search engine “Bing” two days ago for Windows 7 operating system, which can be thought of as Microsoft’s way to introduce people to the experience of the platform they will be offered in Windows 8.

The software comes along with a Bing Toolbar and an option that lets you sync your desktop background to the daily Bing homepage background, which is pretty cool if you ask me. The design of the Search bar is pretty good and its kept quite thin, which is admirable in the way it looks on the screen. We might witness some new features in the near future in the toolbar. Though, its kind of Microsoft strategy for a windows 8 teaser, it’s also a way to lure more people towards using the Bing search engine for their daily routine as its more easily accessible to them. For now, the software is only supported on Windows 7 and is not supported on Windows 8 Consumer Preview even in its compatibility mode. Those willing to download, can download it from the Microsoft source below.
