Well this was expected, Nokia’s camera mammoth 808 PureView won’t be coming to the North American markets which includes US. In the specs sheet, there’s a note about “global” availabilty which says excluding North America.
Nokia and Symbian do not command a loyal fan base in US but we are quite sure the 41 MP camera on the 808 PureView has gained much interest but we all know Nokia wants to focus more on Windows Phone here and it confirmed last year that it would not bring any more Symbian phones to the US.
We know many folks interested in the amazing camera phone by Nokia at US and North America would have been quite disappointed by this news but you can either import it from somewhere when its available or either wait for the Nokia Lumia featuring the PureView tech which according to Nokia will be soon.
