Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset is surely impressive and we recently heard some sources claiming that Nokia would bring a S4 based Windows Phone 8 handset to Spring at the end of the year and now we have sources saying the same thing albeit there’s no mention of Nokia or any manufacturer.

The Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 chipset has been in much rumors recently with regarding Windows Phone 8 and even Windows 8 and mainly there were news that Microsoft was interested in this chipset for its future devices and seeing their relationship with Qualcomm it would definately not be a surprise.

SprintFeed reports that it is quite sure that Sprint is planning to release a MSM8960-based Windows Phone 8 handset before the end of the year but it adds no other detail on the device or even the maker. Windows Phone 8 is said to be a game changer for the Microsoft mobile platform and we can’t wait to know more of it, as always we’ll keep you updated.
