Last Month, MediaTek announced a new 5G Chipset into its Dimensity series, Dimensity 810 5G SoC. The chip is built using a 6nm manufacturing node, compared to 7nm in the DImensity 800 and 800U. The chip sports ARM Cortex-A76 CPU which speeds up to 2.4GHz and has advanced camera features like artistic AI-color, which was done in collaboration with Arcsoft, and advanced noise reduction techniques for improved low-light photography.
Realme and Mediatek have started teasing that Realme will be the first brand to launch the first phone powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor in India. This is what Anku Jain, Managing Director, MediaTek India, said about this collaboration with Realme:
“With this latest collaboration with our long-term OEM realme, we are keen on bringing MediaTek Dimensity 810 powered smartphones to Indian customers who are looking for an incredible all-around smartphone experience, be it for incredible processor speeds, snappier app response, longer battery life, more FPS in games or incredible camera and videography features.”
Meanwhile, Madhav Sheth, Realme VP, and Realme India and Europe CEO, said about the collab:
“We have a long-standing association with MediaTek in bringing some industry-first 5G processors for an unparalleled performance. We are excited to announce that realme is collaborating with MediaTek to bring in the World’s first Dimensity 810 5G chipset enabled smartphone.”
The device featuring the chip will probably be the Realme 8s as per some rumors. The Realme 8s is expected to feature a 90hz 6.5-inch IPS LCD Display, up to 8GB of RAM along with up to 256GB internal storage. In the optics, it is expected to have a 64MP triple camera setup and a 5000mAh battery with 33W Dart charging. More legit leaks are on the way in a few days. Some leaks also suggest that Realme 8i will also launch along with Realme 8s.
