It took Rovio 52 tries before they made a hit mobile application; Angry Birds. It expanded quite quickly covering the majority of mobile platforms out there even launching a toyline, now Rovio have announced that they plan on opening Angry Birds themed amusement parks starting in Britain.

Peter Vesterbacka, Rovio’s Marketing Chief said in an interview with Reuters that they see themselves as an entertainment brand and not just an gaming company. He said that they were just getting started wanting to make Angry Birds a permanent part of pop culture, like Mario and Hello Kitty.

Just two years after first releasing Angry Birds, Rovio is estimated to be worth over U$9-Billion and Angry Birds has already been declared the most downloaded game of all time. They already employ over 300 people and their latest version of the hit application, Angry Birds Space, will become available for download from tomorrow onwards.
