According to the folks over at All About Windows Phones (All About Symbian), Windows Phone Marketplace has crossed another landmark in really quick time. It has now over 60,000 published apps. It has taken 25 days to go from 50,000 to 60,000 items, compared to 40 days to go from 40,000 to 50,000. An average of 400 apps are being added on a daily basis which seems very healthy for Windows Phone as compared to the slow rate of growth last year.

While we can confidently say Nokia’s undivided attention is with the fledgling operating system, as well as some impressive devices by the Finnish company with some heavy marketing. We are witnessing a huge marketing blitz for the US, which has certainly attracted developers towards the Windows Phone platform. Although, we still don’t have a clue if the apps added are of superior quality, we have to accept that numbers do matter, and we can hopefully see Windows Phone getting some much deserved attention and traction this year.
