Despite the recent developments which include blacklisting of Huawei from Google, the company claims it has been skeptical about the issue. Just yesterday, Huawei’s sub-brand HONOR has announced that the HONOR 20 Series will be launching on Flipkart soon. As the earlier rumors showed, the teaser exactly shows the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and the is powered by their own home-brewed Kirin 980 processor which also supports HONOR SuperCharge technology that charges your device up to 50% in just 30 minutes.
The global launch of the HONOR 20 Series is scheduled for today, i.e., May 21st 2:00PM BST 6:30PM IST. You can catch the live event via below link.
As a result of the latest ban of Huawei by Google, the upcoming HONOR smartphones are also likely to be affected. But what the company claims here is that the updates and support will go on as usual until the last of the stocks last. Earlier, the device was announced to release in a global launch event in London and for the same, HONOR yesterday has confirmed that it will be launching the device in India on June 11th.
From the recent leaks, the device is said to have a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with a 32MP pinhole selfie camera along. On the rear, it is said to be be equipped with a 48MP camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16MP 117-degrees ultra-wide sensor, and two 2MP cameras with f/1.75 aperture and f/2.4 aperture; one for 4cm macro shots and the other for the depth sensing for portrait mode. Under the hood, it is said to be powered by their own home-brewed Kirin 980 7nm SoC along with two variants, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
For all the further details, we have to look forward to today’s launch event.
