There have been several reports claiming that the next Galaxy S flagship will be unveiled at an event in April, but Samsung has now officially dismissed such reports and rumors on Twitter.
The South Korean company has announced through Twitter that they haven’t finalised a date yet and will announce the date through Twitter when its final.
The folks at The Verge got a reply from Samsung which stated:
The successor to the GALAXY S II smartphone will be unveiled in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product. We cannot confirm the detailed information at the moment.
It is clear that Samsung will unveil the device once its ready for worldwide availability including US and previous rumors of June/July launch seem more accurate.The Galaxy S III is rumored to come with 1080p 4.8 inch Super AMOLED Plus display and powered by a quad-core Exynos 1.5GHz CPU the latest Touchwiz on top of Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
