After is was launched trying to reach to a middle to lower class demographic, the Indian Aakash Tablet has possibly found another niche market, this time is the Indian classroom.

The creator of the low en tablet has decided to try and persuade the Indian government to fork out 50% of its cost in order to subsidize it and allow the schools to only pay for the remaining 50% left… the result, a free tablet for the students.

Now, let us be clear about something – we are not talking about having the best tablet available to the Indian masses for free but an alternative to help the students to have better learning tools and for the school system to take the much needed steps into bringing current technology to a new generation of computer savvy students and the end result ?
A better experience in the classroom for the teachers and the students.
