It has been more three months since Android 4.0 was officially launched, but there is still no sign of Ice Cream Sandwich running on any devices except for the Nexus line of smartphones. This is really bad, one of the main reason for this is the third party UI layer on top of stock Android. Now HTC has announced that it will be updating a number of devices to Android 4.0, leading the charge with the Sensation line of smartphones.

The devices listed for an upgrade are the Sensation line of phones like the HTC Sensation, Sensation 4G, XL and XE, they will also be looking to update the Vivid, Amaze 4G, Evo 3D, Evo Design 4G, Incredible S, Desire S and the Desire HD at a later stage. The first wave will be expected as soon as first week of March for the Sensation line of devices, and then other devices will soon follow. The white Sensation with Android 4.0 coming to Europe next month clearly indicates that the original Sensation will first of the party to get the upgrade, it will be nice to see some Android 4.0 action for HTC and integrated with Sense UI, maybe even the latest Sense 4.0.
