Nexus 7 pre-orders have recently started shipping and Google has just rolled out an OTA update for its Android Jelly Bean running tablet and Nexus 7 owners should get a notification on their tablets when the update is ready to be downloaded and installed which will be pretty quick seeing the size of the update.

The update is a very minor one as i would like to call it with its size being at less than 1 MB and to be more specific 859 kb. It upgrades the Nexus 7’s software build to JRO03D from JRO03C and adds the device’s FCC ID and IC ID to the About screen and that pretty much seems about it. The Android version number is still 4.1.1 on the tablet.
