Today RIM has finally announced that it is indeed bringing the 4G LTE version of BlackBerry PlayBook Table after lot of rumors. Canada being the home of RIM will be the first country to get the Tablet starting August 9th. The LTE Tablet will be available in Canada through various carriers including Bell, Rogers and Telus and would include support for 4G LTE networks along with HSPA+.

The device is virtually identical to the WiFi BlackBerry PlayBook with specs consisting of the same 7-inch display of 1024 x 600 resolution, 3MP front and 5MP rear facing HD video cameras, 1 GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR and HDMI out but for the LTE support and 32 GB of memory.

The LTE PlayBook will come with version 2.0.1 of the BlackBerry Tablet OS pre-loaded which would include apps such as BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, BlackBerry Balance technology, BlackBerry Video Store to watch movies and TV shows.

The WiFi BlackBerry PlayBook will receive the OS 2.0.1 as an update.

The Tablet will make its way to the U.S., Europe, South Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean in the coming months.
