Samsung will surely bring out Windows Phone 8 smartphones once Microsoft announces the platform, said Matt Brum, head of product management at Samsung to TechRadar.

He quoted:

Windows Phone 8 is coming at the end of the year, and will increase the capability of the platform, and Samsung is looking to optimize its devices on that. We’re very excited about Windows Phone 8, as we’re one of very few manufacturers that can do the convergence story that we can – so the fact that Windows 8 covers everything from tablets to laptops to phones is very cool.

With the Tango update quietly unveiled here at the MWC, all the focus now is on Windows Phone Apollo which will be called Windows Phone 8 and is the major overhaul of the platform bringing the experience much closer to desktop like and deep integration with Windows 8.

Samsung will be one of the OEMs who will be able to take advantage of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 integration as it also produces Laptops and Tablets.
