Google Wear OS

Google has unveiled a new redesigned version of Google Wear OS before the launch of speculated Pixel Watch. This is the third update since the rebranding it to Wear OS by Google. The new Wear OS has been redesigned with an aim to provide quicker access to information and notifications. It also gets a better integration with Google Assistant and Smart Health Coaching in order to provide better usability.

What new on the new Google Wear OS?

Google really listen to the customer demands over Google Wear OS and provided necessary facilities. Now users can easily browse, dismiss or take action on your notifications with the new notification stream.  You can You swipe up to see all your notifications at once and can use smart reply without even leaving your stream. Users can also swipe down to get quicker access to shortcuts like Google Pay, Find my phone and more.

Google has also updated its connection with Google Assistant. So now users can use on smart suggestions like weather at your destination or find a restaurant near your hotel. The advance Wear OS will also remind you to bring an umbrella, show meetings for the day, or warn you if there is a delay on your commute. The algorithms will learn gradually and will add more features later on.

We have also seen a new update on the Google Fit app which added the new Heart Points and Move Minutes. This app will also offer also offers similar goals based on their physical activity recommendations. Which can be directly notified over your Wear OS and you can start them just by swiping.

When will the new Google Wear OS roll out?

The new Wear OS updates will roll out over the next month, moments after new Pixel devices launch. This’ll be a region based update so don’t hassle if you won’t get this update at first. Google also says that some features may vary by phone OS, watch or country.
